Request for Road Improvement Quote on Golf Course Road

The Township is accepting quotes for the following work on the Golf Course Road in Deer River:

Dig out existing culvert

Cut culvert off at the south end taper. Place additional 40" of 72" PC-CS Pipe Culvert, 14 gauge, poly-coated metal culvert with band onto south end of existing culvert (same pipe as before).

Class 5 gravel bedding or 1.5” crushed rock. No bedding material to be placed under the first 5’ of the north end of pipe.

New Pipe elevation to match existing elevations when pipe is reset.

Class 5 backfill against pipe for 1ft out. Class 5 gravel and all other backfill to be compacted in 12” lifts.

24 yd Class 3 rock (2015 MN DOT Spec) to be installed at inlet of pipe

12 yd class 3 rock to be installed at outlet of pipe

Felt fabric to be placed under Class 3 rock

Pipe to be installed at an angle. The angle will be staked prior to start of project.

Crushed blacktop or millings to be installed for final surface. Thickness of 12”. All millings or crushed blacktop must pass through a 1.5’ sieve.

Removal of berm on the south end of culvert. Area will be staked or flagged. Material to be pulled in and used on inslope. Existing berm size is approximately 5’ x 8’ x 50’.

Quote must include a Certificate of Workman's compensation and Contractor Liability Insurance in the amount of $1,500,000.00.

Sealed quotes must be received on or before July 21, 2022 at 7 pm. Quotes will be opened by the Board at the regular township meeting. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all quotes.
